Clinical supervision is an important element of clinical governance and professional support for allied health professionals and assistants.
The Victorian Allied Health Clinical Supervision Framework (the Framework) has been developed to build on the strength of existing allied health clinical supervision practices to present a consistent statewide approach to clinical supervision. The Framework aims to maintain a highly skilled and sustainable health and community services workforce where clinical supervision is better understood, accepted and practiced.
This series of five Victorian Allied Health Clinical Supervision Modules (the Modules) have been developed to support and align with the Framework.
All modules are suitable for supervisees and clinical supervisors, but Module 5 will be most valuable for clinical supervisors or experienced supervisees who may be transitioning to be supervisors.
Details on each of the five modules is provided individually on this page. Clicking on the 'START MODULE' button of the module you wish to complete will launch that module in a new browser tab.
When you finish each module, you will need to exit manually by closing the browser tab. Please note that the ‘EXIT’ button at the end of each module has no function when accessing the Modules through this webpage.
The Modules should be completed in sequence, one through five, as the content has been designed to build upon itself.
Each module needs to be worked through in full before exiting by closing the browser tab. If a module is closed before completing all of the content, learners will be required to re-launch and re-commence that module from the beginning as there is no function to save progress.
In total, all five modules will take between an hour-and-a-half and two hours to complete. The estimated time to complete each module is provided in the details section of each individual module listing on this page.
Although the Modules are designed to be compatible with mobile and tablet devices, it is recommended that they are completed on a laptop or personal computer using the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Please note that there is no certificate provided to recognise completion of the Modules, either individually or as a package. To demonstrate evidence of completion, learners may wish to take a screen capture of the final page of each module.
Supporting tools and resources have been developed to assist with the implementation of clinical supervision. These tools and resources are introduced throughout the module series, and are available to download when each module is complete.
For any queries about the Modules, or to raise an issue regarding accessing the Modules, please contact [email protected].
